Information Platform for Foreigners in China
Independent Information Platform

Overview
An independent information platform for foreigners coming to China: rather than selling a service first, it uses systematic, verifiable information to help those preparing to come — and those already living, studying, or working in China — understand, adapt, and access reliable information faster.
The core position is not “what can I sell you” but “once you arrive in China, what do you need to know.” Users span students and parents preparing to come, current international students, and foreigners working in China, expanding around Learn → Study → Live → Connect.
The Challenge
For foreigners actually living in China, the problem is often not “can’t find information” but not knowing whom to trust or whether the information applies to them. Language is only one dimension — source credibility, cultural difference, daily-habit difference, and unfamiliarity with Chinese society compound the cost of getting information; the problem is especially acute for international students.
Solution
An “Information First” platform: built on a content system (articles / search / categories / tags / free PDF resources / forms), with the free PDF materials designed as product nodes — integrating scattered information while supporting SEO and user retention.
Content production uses an AI-assisted + human-verified SOP (including official-source retrieval and policy-change disclaimers), upgrading the strategy from “AI generation” to “AI-assisted production + human verification + sourced publishing.” The site is treated as an “owned digital asset” rather than relying on third-party platform traffic and rules.
Content Pipeline

Implementation
I led it independently from 0→1: product positioning, information architecture, page design, AI-assisted development, content system, SEO, and operations. The site is built on an open-source content management system (CMS) with a custom frontend and a lightweight plugin ecosystem; much of the frontend and site development was AI-assisted — more precisely AI-assisted Engineering (understand → design → implement with AI → human judgment → iterate), not “AI auto-built a website.” SEO was part of product design from the start, not bolted on later.
